Get Started into Bicycle Maintenance 

Are you interested in mechanics or bikes? If so, the exciting new programme being run by Princes Trust and Dundee Cycle Hub is for you!   

The programme is for young people aged 16-30 and will teach you all they need to know about bicycles, as well as being an opportunity to work on SCQF qualifications.   

The course will cover the following: – 

  • Basic bike maintenance checks 
  • Learning and fixing brakes 
  • Finding & fixing punctures 
  • Wheel changes 
  • Cycle rides to Broughty Ferry Castle and out to Invergowrie Nature Reserve 
  • Team work/tasks 
  • Bike problem solving 
  • Goal Setting 
  • Confidence building 

Participants must be available 18th September to 22nd September. The programme will run for five days between 10am – 4pm and lunch will be provided by the Prince’s Trust. Bikes and helmets will be provided on the programme and the week will include two cycle rides – one to Broughty Ferry Castle and one to Invergowrie Nature Reserve.
