In 2022/23, 89.72% of expenditure was spent on our charitable activities, a figure Helm is proud to celebrate.

Looking forward, we have expanded our fundraising team in response to a changing climate within statutory funding. In future years, we will have a greater focus on generating unrestricted funding through community fundraising and by engaging with the corporate sector. We recognise that the cost of living crisis, leaving the EU and long-term effects to economy caused by Covid will make fundraising more challenging. In response, we are putting in place systems now, to ensure the long-term financial stability for the charity. Our focus for future years will be diversifying income streams and building our social enterprises, while still maintaining a focus on areas already proven to be successful in the past.
