Beauty for All is a vocational beauty service funded by Awards for All that has enabled our learners to gain experience in the community, particularly in old people's homes providing hand and head massages, and a range of manicures. The service tours the city and surrounding areas and has been enjoyed by a large number of users and benefited many young people giving them direct hands-on experience using the skills they are covering in the Dundee centre's Salon 18 as well as vital customer care and communication skills.

Salon 18

The learners who are interested in a career in the hair and beauty industry can develop their skills first in the new Salon 18 based in the Dundee centre. Here they cover accredited training on running a salon including health and safety, customer care and stock-taking skills. Staff can access subsidised treatments so that the learners can gain experience, in particular prior to working with the Beauty for All service.
